This task invites participants to design, implement, and verify a fully pipelined RV32I processor core in SystemVerilog, following the official @risc_v specification.
The design must handle data, control, and structural hazards correctly, assert illegal instruction flags when needed, and target high performance while maintaining power and area efficiency. The ultimate goal is a processor suitable for AI-centric edge workloads. This isn’t just another design task – it’s your chance to showcase your skills, contribute to the open hardware community, and leave your mark on the very first mainnet challenge on ChipForge.”
